Step 4: OPTIONAL: The ROKU 3 (Model 4230) has an Ethernet port for a wired connection, if you so choose. Connect one end of an Ethernet cable to the ROKU device, and the other end to an availagle port on your router. If you choose to connect wireless you can skip this step.
Step 1: The ROKU screen will display on your TV.
Step 2: The "Language: screen will display , followed shortly by the "Pair Your Remote" Screen.
Step 3: Follow the insturctions to pair the remote.
Step 4: Remote found and pairing.
Step 5: Select a language and press OK on the remote.
Step 6: Select "Let's Get Strated" and press OK on your remote.
Step 7: If you connect to a wired network in "Step 4" you can skip you can select "Wired (Ethernet)" and skip to "Step 16" or select "Wireless (WI-FI)" and press "OK" on your remote.
Step 8: The ROKU will scan for your "Wireless Network".
Step 9: Select your wireless network name and press "OK" on the remote.
Step 10: Enter your wireless password. Use show password to see entered characters.
Step 11: The ROKU device will connect to your network and you will se green check marks.
Step 12: After first network connection, the ROKU device will look for an available software update. If one is found, press "OK" on the remote.
Step 13: Software is downloading and will be automatically installed. The ROKU device will restart after completion.
Step 14: Use the provided code to link the ROKU device. (Note: the code shown is a sample, do not use.)
Step 1: On an internet connected browser, go to roku.com/link and enter the provided code from "Step 14" above.
Step 2: Use an existing ROKU account or create a new one.
